Building Life Together

What does it really mean to be a Christian? At Bethel, our focus is on the three commandments that Jesus taught his disciples.

Love God, Love People, Love Each Other

Love God

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Mat 22:37

In order to be a Christian, or what many call "be saved", You must first have a relationship with Christ. Everything that we do at Bethel centers around not only putting God first, but making sure that He is the one guiding everything we do in our lives and church.

Love People

"You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Mat 22:39

The second part of being a Christian is to love people, regardless of who they are or where they come from, even when they stand against you. We are all in need of the savior, Jesus Christ, but sometimes people in churches think they have the right to say who can and can't live for God. At Bethel, we will always teach the full truth of the Word of God, but we realize that God is pursuing all people, and our function is to love people, regardless of their past, because we all need Christ for a future.

Love Each Other

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." John 13:34

Some of the most difficult circumstances in a Christians life come from contention in the church. Sometimes we forget to love one another, how Jesus loved, and that means we are the same as close family. At Bethel, you will find more than a group of people who just attend church services. You will find a family of people that love one another, build one another up, and even when we have struggles, we work together for real reconciliation and restoration. Jesus went on to say that the world would know that we are one of his by our love for one another. So, we strive to love one another, just like He loves us.

My wife Andrea and I grew up in Springfield, MO until 2012 when we were called into pastoral ministry. We have five children and four grandchildren. Our youngest daughter, Alyson, moved with us and is attending CMU for a degree in education. We have adopted one of our granddaughters that we lovingly call Taco. She is a beautiful little toddler that keeps us on our toes.  Andrea's passion and calling is to teach children everthing from math to who Jesus is. My passion is to preach and teach the saving grace of Jesus Christ. I have served in ministry since 2003, as everything from a chair stacker, Sunday School Teacher, Royal Rangers Commander, Youth Pastor and Lead Pastor in Missouri, Arizona and now beautiful Colorado. We are excited to be on this  journey with the awesome Bethel family. Join us as we Love God, Love People, and Love Each other.

I grew up at Bethel going to the children’s and youth programs. Youth was where I first learned what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and where I first felt the call into ministry. After high school I went to college at Bellevue Master’s Commission, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Student Ministry. There I grew an even deeper love for Jesus and even greater passion for Youth Ministry. I am so excited to be back here at Bethel doing ministry alongside all these awesome leaders and followers of Christ.

I am so honored to help lead the next generation to Jesus.  I have been working with children's ministry for more than 10 years.  I work in education during the week as my full time position.  I have attended Colorado Christian University and Western Governor's University with emphasis in Early Childhood Education and Special Education K-12.  Using classroom strategies for learning we can help children understand Bible stories.  2/3 rds of Christians come to know him before 18 years old, we are happy to be a part of that!
